Dana Katz

Dana Katz completed her doctorate on twelfth-century secular architecture and landscape in medieval Sicily in the Department of History of Art at the University of Toronto. Katz is currently a Lady Davis Post-Doctoral Fellow in the Department of Geography at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. She has published on the exhibition of Islamic art in the nineteenth-century Museo Nazionale in Palermo in the Mitteilungen des Kunsthistorischen Institutes in Florenz. Other research areas include Norman and Hohenstaufen Sicily, Crusader art and architecture, and the formation of medieval and Islamic art collections in Western Europe.
