Celia Weiss Bambara
Celia Weiss Bambara is a dance artist and scholar as well as director of the CCBdance Project, which was created in 2006. Her work has been shown in Europe, Africa, the Caribbean, the Middle East, Canada and the United States. She creates dance works, film, site-dance, improvisation and practice as research surrounding these endeavours. Her written work appears in Making Caribbean Dance, The Journal of Haitian Studies, Australasian Drama Studies and in Chicago’s social justice publication Area Magazine. She is an associate professor in the Dance Department at Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle.
