Christophe Wall-Romana

Christophe Wall-Romana is a professor in the Department of French and Italian at the University of Minnesota, and Samuel Russell Chair in the humanities. He is the author of Cinepoetry: Imaginary Cinemas in French Poetry (Forham University Press, 2013) and Jean Epstein: Corporeal Cinema and Film Philosophy (Manchester University Press, 2013). He has translated books by Philip K. Dick, Jean Epstein, William Merwin and Gilbert Simondon. His upcoming project is a new archaeology of photography and cinema, Origins of Photoimaging: How Photography and Cinema Emerged from Visualizing the Cosmos, History and Race.
