Colleen Kennedy-Karpat

Colleen Kennedy-Karpat is an associate editor of the journal Adaptation and co-editor of the volumes The Sustainable Legacy of Agnès Varda (Bloomsbury, 2022) and Adaptation, Awards Culture, and the Value of Prestige (Palgrave Macmillan, 2017). Her monograph Rogues, Romance, and Exoticism in French Cinema of the 1930s (2013) won the Northeast Modern Language Association Book Award; other work has appeared in the Journal of Popular Film and Television, Camera Obscura, and a number of edited volumes. She holds a Ph.D. in French from Rutgers University and teaches film studies at Bilkent University in Ankara, Turkey.
