Corey Anton

Corey Anton is an award-winning teacher and author as well as a fellow of the International Communicology Institute. His publications can be found in journals such as Philosophy and Rhetoric, Communication Theory, Human Studies and The American Journal of Semiotics. His books include Selfhood and Authenticity (SUNY Press, 2001), Sources of Significance: Worldly Rejuvenation and Neo-Stoic Heroism (Purdue University Press, 2010), Communication Uncovered: General Semantics and Media Ecology (Institute of General Semantics, 2011) and the edited collections Valuation and Media Ecology: Ethics, Morals, and Laws (Hampton Press, 2010), Korzybski And… (with Lance Strate, Institute of General Semantics, 2012) and Taking Up McLuhan’s Cause (with Lance Strate and Robert K. Logan, Intellect, Ltd., 2017). Anton is the past editor of the journal Explorations in Media Ecology, currently serves as vice-president of the Institute of General Semantics, and sits on the editorial boards of The Atlantic Journal of Communication, The Review of Communication, Media Ethics, and Explorations in Media Ecology.
