Lance Strate

Lance Strate is a professor of communication and media studies at Fordham University in New York City, the president of the Institute of General Semantics and one of the founders of the Media Ecology Association. He is the author of ten books, including Amazing Ourselves to Death: Neil Postman’s Brave New World Revisited (Peter Lang, 2014); Media Ecology: An Approach to Understanding the Human Condition (Peter Lang, 2017) and Concerning Communication: Epic Quests and Lyrical Excursions within the Human Lifeworld (Institute of General Semantics, 2022).
