David Carey
A voice teacher for over 40 years, David Carey has worked nationally and internationally within higher education and the professional theatre, including four years as assistant to Cicely Berry at The Royal Shakespeare Company during the 1980s. David Carey is a Resident Voice and Text Director at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, has been a Senior Voice Tutor at RADA and was previously Principal Lecturer of Voice Studies at Central School of Speech and Drama. His books, co-authored with Rebecca Clark Carey, are: The Dramatic Text Workbook and Video (2nd edition of The Verbal Arts Workbook), The Shakespeare Workbook and Video and The Vocal Arts Workbook and Video.
