David Melbye
Among edited volume chapters and peer-reviewed journal articles, Melbye has published Landscape Allegory in Cinema (Palgrave, 2010), on the psychological mobilization of natural settings in occidental literature, art, photography and cinema, as well as Irony in The Twilight Zone (Rowman, 2015), on the systematic use of irony as social critique in the classic American television series. His forthcoming book is entitled Crime-Jazz Diasporas: African American Music in Overseas Cinema (Penn State).
