Dennis Nickson

Dennis Nickson is professor of service work and employment at the University of Strathclyde. He is one of the team – along with Professor Chris Warhurst and the late Professor Anne Witz – who originated and developed the concept of aesthetic labour, a key concept for understanding interactive service work. His work has been published in journals such as Work, Employment and Society, Human Resource Management (United States), the Human Resource Management Journal, the International Journal of Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations Journal, Economic and Industrial Democracy, Gender, Work and Organisation and Employee Relations. He is also editor-in-chief of Employee Relations.
