Donald Reid
Donald Reid is a lecturer in the journalism, media and communication programme. His main research theme is the role of journalism and media in the construction and representation of identity. In this he examines the interaction between media and multicultural and bicultural policies, media and globalization, media as a neo-liberal, disciplinary technology and the commodification of the mediated subject. He also has an interest in cinema studies, notably national cinemas.
