Frans Weiser
Frans Weiser is an associate professor at the University of Georgia with a joint-appointment in the Department of Comparative Literature and Intercultural Studies and the Latin American and Caribbean Studies Institute. His first book, False Documents: Inter-American Cultural History, Literature and the Lost Decade (1975–1992) (2020), was published by The Ohio State University Press, and his current manuscript project examines both the role and the representation of the state in twenty-first-century urban Brazilian film adaptations of crime fiction.
