Gabrielle Hoyt

Gabrielle Hoyt is an MFA candidate in the dramaturgy and dramatic criticism programme in the David Geffen School of Drama at Yale, where she has worked on productions including Suzan-Lori Parks’s Fucking A and Shakespeare’s Macbeth. She researches and writes on topics about the nexus of Jewishness and musical theatre and has published articles on this subject in American Theatre, Theater magazine and Hey Alma. She is the recipient of the DGSD 2023 John W. Gassner Memorial Prize for her essay ‘Reviving Jewishness’. A graduate of Yale College, she previously worked as a literary manager at DC’s Round House Theatre.
