Guy Mankowski

Guy Mankowski was singer in the London band Alba Nova. He is author of the novels The Intimates, Letters from Yelena (which was adapted for the stage in 2012); the post-punk novel How I Left The National Grid; and An Honest Deceit. He has had short stories, novellas, journalism and academia appear in a range of publications, including Litro and New Trespass Magazine. He has lectured in creative writing at Edinburgh, Northumbria and Newcastle Universities. He is a full-time senior lecturer in creative writing at the University of Lincoln. His research interests include self-design (particularly in post-punk, Riot Grrrl and Kinderwhore). His first non-fiction book, Albion’s Secret History: Snapshot’s of England’s Pop Rebels and Outsiders, is forthcoming from Zer0 Books.
