Heather Akou
Heather Akou is an associate professor of fashion design and director of the Elizabeth Sage Historic Costume Collection at Indiana University. Her research focuses on African dress and fashion, contemporary Islamic fashion, aesthetics, politics, embodied religious practices and representations of non-western dress and fashion in scholarship and museum collections.
