Heyder Paez-Logreira is an electronic engineer, holds Mg(c) in computer and systems engineering and is a Ph.D. student in technology and innovation management. Heyder is an IEEE senior member (www.ieee.org), with eighteen years of work experience, of which thirteen years in development of automation and control systems, software and hardware. Additionally, he worked for five years as an administrative and accounting assistant. He was a young researcher of Minciencias (2012) and has been university professor since 2011 in the areas of embedded systems, automation, control, robotics, electronics and project management. He has served in roles such as research and development consultant, secretary (2019–20) and chair (2021–22) for the IEEE Colombian Caribbean Section, project engineer and software analyst (2009–14), and director of research (2016–22). He is currently COO at the Develo App Software Development company and professor at the Universidad de la Costa.
