Ian Parkman

Dr Ian Parkman is an associate professor of marketing at the Pamplin School of Business at the University of Portland. He teaches undergraduate- and MBA-level classes in marketing strategy, marketing research, and new product design and development. His research interests focus on marketing strategy, knowledge-based product innovation, the creative industries and product design. He has presented and published his work with the Journal of Brand Management, Journal of Research in Marketing and Entrepreneurship, American Marketing Association, Design Management Institute, among others. He holds an MBA from the University of New Mexico and his Ph.D. is from the University of Oregon.
