Johan Redström

Johan Redström is professor in design at Umeå Institute of Design. He works at the intersections and interactions between research through design and design philosophy. He has previously been rector of Umeå Institute of Design and, before that, design director of the Interactive Institute, Sweden. His books include Making Design Theory (MIT Press, 2017) and Changing Things: The Future of Objects in a Digital World (together with Heather Wiltse; Bloomsbury, 2019). He is a part of DCODE (https://dcode-network.eu) and a member of the Committee for Artistic Research at the Swedish Research Council and the international advisory board of the Design Research Society.
