Joe Weber, associate professor of art and design; division director for art and design, is a fabrication specialist focusing on digital means, but has a strong background in traditional fabrication techniques. He received his BFA from the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay, and an MFA in ceramics from the Peck School of the Arts at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. Weber created the hidden Graduate Gallery in UW – Milwaukee’s Kenilworth Studios, and collaborated with artist Nathaniel Stern to create underwater scanning rigs for the series Rippling Images. Recently, Weber is credited with creating LU’s MakerSpace, where traditional studio facilities and digital fabrication equipment have found a home under one roof.
