Luis Quijano

Luis Quijano is a Fulbright Future scholar and Ph.D. candidate in fashion and biotechnology at Queensland University of Technology. He is in the final stages of his doctoral research and focuses on bacterial cellulose as a bio-material for the textile industry at the intersection of fashion design and biotechnology. He also researches future materials and emerging technologies for a sustainable future. His professional affiliations include being involved in working groups or committees within the International Textile and Apparel Association, Sustainable Fashion Consumption Network, Union of Concerned Researchers in Fashion and ARC Centre of Excellence in Synthetic Biology.
