Malin Picha Edwardsson
Malin Picha Edwardsson, Ph.D., has been a senior lecturer in journalism at Södertörn University since 2017. Her research focuses mainly on innovative development projects conducted in close cooperation with companies in the media industry. Her research typically revolves around issues regarding digital innovations in journalism, media technology and the media industry. Malin defended her doctoral thesis with the title ‘Towards a sustainable media system: Explorative studies of emerging media consumption trends and media processes for content production’, in 2015 at the Department of Media Technology at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. Before becoming a doctoral student in 2010, Malin worked as a project manager for the Swedish Media Publishers’ Association as well as for WAN-IFRA (World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers). She also worked as a journalist and editor at various Swedish newspapers and magazines for almost fifteen years.
