Michael J. Ernst
Michael J. Ernst is a Ph.D. student in Art History at Temple University’s Tyler School of Art & Architecture. He holds an AB in History, a MLA in Middle East & Islamic Studies, and a MSEd in Learning Sciences & Technologies from the University of Pennsylvania. His research focuses on the Islamic visual culture of Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan. Presently, he is working on a project looking at petrol station prayer-houses in Azerbaijan.
