Niall Scott
Niall Scott is the principal editor of the Intellect journal Metal Music Studies and was a founding member and the first chair of the International Society for Metal Music Studies (ISMMS), and co-creator of the World Metal Congress (WMC). He has published widely on heavy metal music and its culture from a philosophical and theological perspective, including in edited collections such as Reflections in the Metal Void (Inter-Disciplinary Press, 2012), Heavy Metal and Gender (Routledge, 2016) with Florian Heesch and Heavy Metal Music and the Communal Experience (Lexington Books, 2016) with Nelson Varas-Díaz.
