Olli Pyyhtinen
Olli Pyyhtinen is a professor of sociology and the founder of Relational Studies Hub (RS Hub) at Tampere University, Finland. He is the author of for example The Gift and Its Paradoxes (Routledge, 2014), More-than-Human Sociology (Palgrave, 2015) and The Simmelian Legacy (Palgrave, 2018). Currently Pyyhtinen is leading the project ‘The meanings and workings of the gift: From modernity to the era of new technologies’ (Kone Foundation, 2021–24) and the projects WasteMatters (ERC Consolidator Grant, 2022–27) and DECAY (Academy of Finland, 2022–26) on waste and the circular economy.
