Peter Rist
Peter H. Rist, Ph.D., is a professor of film studies in the Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema at Concordia University in Montréal, where he was the chair (head) for eight years. He is currently co-writing a Historical Dictionary of Canadian Cinema for Rowman and Littlefield after his Historical Dictionary of South American Cinema was published by them in 2014. He has edited two other books and has had book chapters published on sub-Saharan African, Chinese, Taiwanese, Hong Kong, Japanese and Korean films and filmmakers, while he reports regularly on film festivals and conducts interviews for www.offscreen.com.
