Ruchika Wason Singh

Ruchika Wason Singh is a visual artist, art educator and independent researcher based in Delhi, India, and visiting faculty at Ashoka University. In 2016 Ruchika founded the project A.M.M.A.A. – The Archive for Mapping Mother Artists in Asia. Ruchika’s ongoing artistic practice focuses on environment through the prism of human habitation. Selected recent participations include Our Line in The Sand curated by Monica Jain; and The Circle of Life curated by Alnoor Mitha, Art Centrix Space (2022); Asia Triennial Manchester 2021 curated by Alnoor Mitha, Manchester Poetry Library, Manchester Metropolitan University, United Kingdom (2021); Open Books Online in collaboration with Aidan Myers (2021); Buka Buku curated by Lienne Loy, The Godown Art Centre, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (2021); International SUMUK Art Talk + Artist Residency of the Jeonnam International SUMUK Biennale, Sinan, South Korea (2021); ‘The White Distance’, Month of Arts Practice, The Heritage Space, Hanoi, Vietnam (2021); How to be Together residency by Galit Criden, at the Women’s Art Library, University of Goldsmiths, London, United Kingdom (2021); and The Book of Collective Healing with Daniel Rode, Ryusuke Ito and Katja Jug at The White Distance exhibition at Union Hall, Hanoi, Vietnam (2021). Her writings on matricentric feminism have been published by Demeter Press (Canada) and Routledge (United Kingdom).
