Signe Louise Yndigegn

Signe Louise Yndigegn, Ph.D., is an associate professor at the IT University of Copenhagen in the Digital Design Department. Her research is placed in the intersection of Ethnography, Participatory Design – and Science and Technology Studies. It focuses on design and use of digital technology in different constellations of older people, public institutions and welfare technologies especially within questions of loneliness, civic engagements, active ageing, vulnerable citizens and digitalization processes. In her work she has a strong focus on questions around care, responsibility, accountability and resistance. Signe has worked with in many different projects on co-design and the establishment of living labs in collaboration with public and private partners as well as citizens to explore new possibilities for public services and co-production. Signe is head of the research group Welfare Technology: Policy – People – Practices and co-head of the master programme Digital Design and Interactive Technologies.
