Trudi Wright

Trudi Wright currently serves on the faculties of Regis University and Metropolitan State University of Denver. As an active musicologist, Wright has presented research based on her dissertation, ‘Labor takes the stage: A musical and social analysis of Pins and Needles (1937–1941)’ at national and regional meetings of the Society for American Music, American Musicological Society and College Music Society. She has also written articles on musical theatre, opera, and choral music for The New Grove Dictionary of American Music, 2nd ed. (Oxford University Press). In 2010, Wright was awarded an educational grant from the College Music Society to continue her community engagement programme in sacred music history for adults at Trinity United Methodist Church, Denver, where she also serves as the chairperson for Arts Education for Adults.
