Chinasa Ezugha

Chinasa Vivian Ezugha is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Exeter, an assistant arts professor of live art, art as social practice at New York University Abu Dhabi and former director of Live Art Development Agency. Her interdisciplinary practice encompasses live art, film and drawing. Ezugha's work has been showcased at prestigious venues, including the SPILL Festival (2018), Performance Space (2018), In Between Time Festival (2017), ECOS in Bilbao (2017), Songs for President in New York (2015) and the Rapid Pulse International Performance Art Festival in Chicago (2015). She was a Leverhulme Arts Scholar at Wysing Arts Centre (2014), received the New Art Exchange Open Main Prize (2019), the Awesome Foundation disability grant (2019) and the Santander Universities Post-Covid-19 Enterprise Award from Goldsmiths (2020). Ezugha is also the founder of Live Art in Wymondham, Norfolk, and was a 2021 research associate at the Centre for Contemporary Art Derry~Londonderry. She holds a BA in fine art from Aberystwyth University and an MA in performance making from Goldsmiths, University of London.
