Seung-hoon Jeong

Seung-hoon Jeong, a former assistant professor of cinema studies at New York University Abu Dhabi, is currently adjunct assistant professor at Columbia University and lecturer at Korea National University of Arts. He is the author of Cinematic Interfaces: Film Theory after New Media (Routledge, 2013), co-translator of Jacques Derrida’s Acts of Literature into Korean (Moonji, 2013), co-editor of The Global Auteur: The Politics of Authorship in 21st Century Cinema (Bloomsbury, 2016) and guest-editor of a special issue of Studies in the Humanities: Global East Asian Cinema: Abjection and Agency (2019). He is currently working on a new book, Global Cinema: A Biopolitical and Ethical Reframing (Oxford University Press, forthcoming 2020).
