Toon van Meijl

Toon van Meijl is professor of cultural anthropology at Radboud University, Nijmegen, the Netherlands. He has been engaged in long-term anthropological research among the Tainui Māori in Aotearoa New Zealand since 1982. His research concentrates on issues of cultural identity and the self, particularly among young people in multicultural societies, and on sociopolitical questions emerging from the debate about property rights, especially of Indigenous peoples.
