Claudia Brazzale
Claudia Brazzale is a dancer, choreographer and scholar whose interdisciplinary work bridges academic research, performance and film. A senior lecturer in contemporary performance at the University of East London, she is an AAUW International Fellow with an MA from NYU and a Ph.D. from UCLA. She has held academic positions at institutions in the USA and UK, such as Princeton, Rutgers and Liverpool Hope University. Her work spans writing, choreography and video, focusing on corporeality and the gendered body in relation to mobility. She approaches the moving body as a lens to explore issues of gender, labour and globalization across diverse contexts, including performance, domestic, and entrepreneurial spaces.
