Enrique Uribe-Jongbloed

Enrique Uribe-Jongbloed (Ph.D.) is a research professor in the School of Social Communication–Journalism, Universidad Externado de Colombia and a member of the Recasens Group of Research in Communication. His current research revolves around cultural transduction, particularly in the case of audio-visual products that are adapted or modified as they travel to different cultural markets. He has written many essays on culture, language, identity and the media, and is co-author of Volver a los clásicos: Teorías de la comunicación y cultura pop (Universidad de La Sabana y Uniediciones, 2016). His work has been published in journals such as the Catalan Journal of Communication and Cultural Studies, International Journal of Qualitative Methods, Journal of Multilingual and Multicultural Development and the Journal of Adaptation.
