Ilgım Veryeri Alaca
Ilgım Veryeri Alaca is an assistant professor at Koç University, Department of Media and Visual Arts. She earned her MFA from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and Ph.D. from Hacettepe University. Her articles have appeared in Art, Design & Communication in Higher Education, Journal of Illustration, The Journal of Modern Craft, Leonardo, International Journal of Education through Art and The Routledge Companion to Picturebooks. She has presented at College Art Association (CAA) and Foundations in Art: Theory and Education (FATE) conferences. Her artworks are in Butler Museum of American Art and Southern Graphics Council. Her current focus is on drawing, picturebooks and materiality.
