Kate Dorney

Kate Dorney is a senior lecturer in modern and contemporary performance at the University of Manchester. She is a cultural historian of performance who works across curating, biography, costume and performance history. Her most recent publications include the co-edited volumes Vivien Leigh Actress and Icon (Manchester Univeresity Press, 2018) and Stage Women 1900-1950: Women and Professional Practice (Manchester University Press, 2019). Her work on Shakespeare, costume and archives has appeared in Shakespeare Bulletin, Shakespeare Survey and Studies in Costume & Performance.
