Russell Kilbourn

Russell J. A. Kilbourn is associate professor in English and film studies at Wilfrid Laurier University, specializing in film theory, memory studies and adaptation. He is the author of Cinema, Memory, Modernity: The Representation of Memory from the Art Film to Transnational Cinema (Routledge, 2010), W.G. Sebald’s Postsecular Redemption: Catastrophe with Spectator (Northwestern University Press, 2018) and co-editor, with Eleanor Ty, of The Memory Effect: The Remediation of Memory in Literature and Film (Wilfrid Laurier University Press, 2013). His forthcoming book is The Cinema of Paolo Sorrentino (Director’s Cut series, Wallflower Press and Columbia University Press).
