Sarah Annunziato

Sarah Annunziato is associate professor of Italian and director of the Italian language programme, 1000–2000 level at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. Her current research interests are: young adult and children’s literature, film and television series for children and teenagers, and second language acquisition with emphasis on the use of games and storytelling in the classroom. Her articles have appeared in the Journal of Languages for Specific Purposes, Modern Language Notes, Voices in Italian Americana, The Journal of American Popular Culture, Journal of Italian Cinema & Media Studies, Journal of Children and Media, Historical Journal of Film Radio and Television and Rivista di Studi Italiani. Additionally, she published two entries in Italian Literature and Its Times (Thomson Gale, 2005) (edited by J. Moss). She is also the founder and editor of La Vedemmia, the newsletter of the Italian Studies Program at the University of Virginia.
