Taiwo Afolabi

Taiwo Afolabi is the Canada Research Chair in socially engaged theatre, the director of the Centre for Socially Engaged Theatre, an assistant professor at the University of Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada and the co-founder of Green Africa. He is an experienced artist, qualitative researcher, theatre manager, applied theatre practitioner and educator with a decade of experience in more than fifteen countries across four continents. He is skilled in devised theatre, theatre arts and arts management, and is a strong professional with a Ph.D. in applied theatre. He is a senior research associate at the University of Johannesburg, South Africa, and the founder of Theatre Emissary International. He is also an experienced director with a demonstrated history of working in the aviation and aerospace industries.
