Yvette Hutchison
Yvette Hutchison is professor in theatre and performance studies, in the School of Creative Arts, Performance and Visual Cultures at the University of Warwick, UK where she is currently director of research for the School. Her research areas include Anglophone African theatre, history and narratives of memory, and how intercultural performance practices can challenge ongoing postcolonial issues. She is co-founder of the African Womens’ Playwright Network (AWPN). She is currently principal investigator on the UKRI-funded project 'Encountering Disability through Contemporary Dance in Africa' with Dr Lliane Loots (UKZN, SA), and co-host of the African Dance Disability Network.
