Claudia Westermann

Claudia Westermann (Ph.D.) is an artist and architect licensed with the German Chamber of Architects, and associate professor in architecture at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) in Suzhou, China. With a basis and postgraduate degrees in both architecture and media art and a Ph.D. in art from the Planetary Collegium’s CAiiA-Hub, Claudia Westermann’s research and related art/design portfolio generally actualize at the intersection of art/architecture, technology research and epistemology. Claudia Westermann’s works have been included in more than 30 exhibitions, including the Venice Biennale (Architecture), the Moscow International Film Festival, ISEA Symposium for the Electronic Arts in Japan and the ZKM (Center for Art and Media) in Karlsruhe, Germany.
