David Loranger
David Loranger, Ph.D., is an assistant professor of fashion marketing and management at the Welch College of Business & Technology at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut. Prior to his career in academia, he spent seventeen years working in the New York City textile and retailing businesses with brands such as Bergdorf Goodman, Loro Piana, Saks Fifth Avenue and Barney’s New York. He teaches fashion classes in buying, history and theory, along with design thinking. His research revolves around generational consumption and cultural apparel products.
