David Loranger

David Loranger is an assistant professor of fashion marketing & merchandising at Sacred Heart University’s Jack Welch Business School, and holds a Ph.D. in apparel, merchandising and design from Iowa State University. His current research foci include cultural apparel products and generational consumption. Prior to joining SHU, Professor Loranger was a faculty member at the University of Minnesota’s retailing programme. Dr Loranger spent seventeen years in retail and design management capacities, working as a merchandise manager for Saks Fifth Avenue, Loro Piana, Barneys New York, and Bergdorf Goodman, and owning The Fashion Collective textile design studio.
