Kendel Bolton

In Dallas, Texas, Kendel Bolton is an adjunct professor of fashion marketing at Dallas College and an adjunct professor of merchandise marketing at Wade College. He is also the chair of the Dallas College Fashion Marketing Academic Advisory Board, for the El Centro campus. Bolton received his master’s degree in retail and merchandising from the Westphal College of Media Arts & Design at Drexel University. While completing his master’s degree at the University of North Texas, Bolton worked as a graduate intern at the Texas Fashion Collection. After graduation he received a Curatorial Research Fellowship with The Robert and Penny Fox Historic Costume Collection at Drexel University. In addition to teaching, Bolton produces an annual fashion documentary screening event in support of the Texas Fashion Collection. The events highlight Dallas College’s creative arts and design programmes. He also provides consultation to faculty and the D-suite within the El Centro campus of Dallas College on community outreach, marketing and data analysis. Bolton’s professional interests are around fashion and queer culture research. This is mainly about studying the ways in which queer designers have shaped fashion and cultural norms.
